Privacy note
Short, because there is little to say. This note covers the website octobooks.ai, its early access list and its country requests. Version of 7 October 2026.
What this website keeps
- If you join early access: your email address, the company name, the country you chose, the language of the page, and the time you joined. That is all.
- If you ask for a country: your email address, the countries you asked for, the language of the page, and the time. That is all.
- If you only read the pages: nothing about you. The server keeps no log of visitors.
Clean by design
- No cookies, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising.
- Language and currency are picked in your own browser, from its language and time zone. Nobody is asked where you are, and a choice you make with a switch is remembered on your device only.
- Every font, script and picture comes from our own server.
- No automatic email. When you join or ask for a country, a person writes back.
- The list stays with us. It is never sold, rented or shared.
Why we keep it, and for how long
For one purpose: to get back to you about early access or the country you asked for, and to set your company up. The basis is your consent, which you give by sending the form and can take back at any time. An entry is deleted when you remove it, and at the latest twelve months after early access has opened for your country.
Where it is kept
On our own server at Hetzner in Germany, in one file that only the Octobooks service can read.
Remove yourself
Changed your mind? Enter the address you used. Your early access entry and your country request are deleted at once and for good. For safety the answer is the same whether or not the address was on the list.
Your rights
You may ask what is kept about you, have it corrected or deleted, and complain to the data protection authority of your country. The removal form above deletes everything this website holds about an address.
The product itself
This note is about the website. The Octobooks app, where a company's books are kept, comes with its own terms and its own data processing agreement, which every company receives before it starts.
