Two step sign in

Octobooks keeps no passwords for your account. You sign in with Google plus a second step, or with a passkey alone.

Your second step can be:

1. A passkey on this device: your fingerprint, face or device PIN. The easiest way.
2. An authenticator app: scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password, then type the six digits it shows.
3. A code by email to your own sign in address, when you have no passkey or app at hand.

To set it up or add a passkey later:

1. Open Account, then Sign in and security.
2. Press Second step or Save a passkey on this device.

Signed in on a phone you no longer use? Press Sign out everywhere else. Every other browser and phone signed in as you is signed out; this one stays.
