Where your data lives
Your books live on servers at Hetzner in Nuremberg, Germany.
- Encrypted on the way: TLS 1.2 and 1.3 only.
- Each company's data is walled off in the database itself, not only in the app.
- What is posted stays posted. A correction is a reversal, so the trail is always complete. Every booking is chained to the one before by a SHA-256 hash, checked every night.
- Octobooks itself sends your books to no AI provider. Your own AI reads what you let it read; its provider receives that under your own agreement with them.
- We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not sell it.
- Nothing goes to a tax office until you switch filing on.
