Close the month

The month close is a checklist your AI works through.

1. Ask your AI: "What is missing to close September? Do what you can."
2. The month close (in the menu: Period close) shows every step: done, or who acts next: Octobooks, your AI or you.
3. Your AI runs the receipt check, clears the bank work list and books accruals and depreciation, as far as your switches allow.
4. It shows the profit and loss with the prior period and the prior year beside it.
5. When everything is done, your AI asks to lock the period. Locking is final, so you confirm it on the approval page, or with a chat stamp.

Every entry is in the audit trail. A change after the close is a reversal and a new entry.
